Comprehensive Trustee Investment Training is designed to cover all significant aspects of investing to support trustees, executives and staff in understanding their fiduciary obligations as they develop, implement and oversee investment strategies.
This program is delivered in a modular approach. An interactive and problem-solving approach is used, contextualising the role of the trustee or investment executive in relation to portfolio construction, risk and return characteristics of the various asset classes and honing the skills required for setting appropriate investment policies.
Module 1: Basic Investment Principles. This module is optional for delegates to complete. Delegates can also choose to complete this module on campus or via online subscription at no extra charge. This module awards an additional 3 CPE points
Module 2: Developing and reviewing investment strategy: traditional investments including equities, bonds and real estate
Module 3: Investment processes and investment implementation: strategy and risk
Module 4: Non-traditional investments: private equity, opportunistic real estate, derivatives and hedge funds
Module 5: Asset consultants and the role of the Board

Notes
- Abovementioned registration fees are applicable to representatives of Institutional Investors only (e.g. Superannuation Funds, Asset Owners, Private, Public and Government Investment entities). These registration fees are not applicable to sponsoring entities. Sponsoring entities should request sponsorship information from CIE. This information will cover sponsorship benefits, conference application and levels. Sponsorship is not applicable to the On Campus Modules.
