MMP – Investment Strategy Symposium 2017

Wednesday 18 – Friday 20 October 2017
Starts Wednesday Afternoon and concludes Friday afternoon

Location: Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, Noosa, Queensland

CIE’s Major Market Players Symposium gives delegates the opportunity to explore issues concerning investment strategy among peers, thought leaders and innovators in the industry.

Throughout the Symposium we address and discuss the major challenges confronting strategic asset allocation. This gives delegates the opportunity to consider related issues in the context of an environment where balancing shorter and longer term considerations is becoming a more demanding endeavour, in pursuing investment ‘best practice’ frameworks and processes.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Striking the ‘right’ balance between longer and shorter investment time horizons
  • Matching the appropriateness of your investment objectives to your member demographics
  • Incorporating uncertainty into the investment decision making process
  • Weighing the impact of potential left-tail events
  • Assessing the cost of ‘poor’ strategy
