Peter Horn

Peter Horn is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Centre for Investor Education (CIE).

Peter works closely with the research, industry analysis and development of forum agendas and manages relationships with many of the CIE’s clients.

Peter has 20 years industry experience and was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan Asset Management (Australia) Pty Ltd.  In this role he was the primary advisor to industry superannuation funds and other institutional investors. Prior to this Peter was the Head of Equities, Europe for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia based in London.  Peter has extensive experience in economic and financial analysis as well as investments across asset classes globally. He holds a First Class Honours Degree in Economics and achieved a High Distinction average in the Master of Economics program, both from Monash University.

He is also a Non-Executive Director of Deaf Children Australia and as Treasurer is responsible for the investment of the charities corpus, and is a Non-Executive Director of the Cambodian Rural Development Team, a NGO based in Phnom Penh.

Diane Alfano

Ms. Diane E. Alfano serves as Managing Director of Institutional Investor Conferences at Institutional Investor, Inc. Ms. Alfano has been with Institutional Investor since 1984, runs the division’s membership and sponsored conference business and since 1987 has supervised new product development for the division, where she oversees 80 employees in New York, London and Hong Kong in every aspect of the business, including sales, programming, and logistics. Prior to Institutional Investor, she served as a Sales Account Executive at Burroughs Corporation from 1979 to 1983. She has been Chairman of the Board of Institutional Investor, Inc. and serves as its Director. She has been an Executive Director of Euromoney Institutional Investor plc since July 2000. An alumna of Loomis-Chaffee school, Ms. Alfano graduated in 1978 from Tufts University in Boston with a B.A. in French and Political Science. From 1976 to 1977, Ms. Alfano studied at La Sorbonne and Institut d’Etudes des Sciences Politiques in Paris.

 

Christopher Fordham

Christopher is a CIE board member and the Managing Director of Euromoney, a position he has held since October 2012.

For twelve years previous to this, he was the company’s Development Director, responsible for its acquisitions. Christopher was also Divisional Director for many of the group’s acquired businesses such as Metal Bulletin, Gulf Publishing, Ned Davis Research and Total Derivatives.

Before Euromoney, he worked at The Economist Group and then at Haymarket Publishing for over a decade, first as Publisher of Campaign magazine and subsequently as Head of Development. He has also worked as a journalist in South Africa for the Rand Daily Mail.

Christopher has an MA in History from Cambridge and an MBA from Ashridge Management College.
