CEOs are constantly facing new and increasingly complex issues requiring high-level and targeted knowledge. This forum will assist participants in meeting these specific needs by covering relevant investment and non-investment related issues, together with trends and practices which are imperative for CEOs in managing their funds. Recognising the importance of the interaction between fund CEOs and Chairs, Wednesday evening’s function will be a joint dinner between delegates attending the Chairs and CEOs forums. Topics to be covered at the Chief Executive Officers forum include:

  • Superannuation industry consolidation: implications of increasing superannuation fund sizes
  • The growing importance of in-house teams
  • The growing need for education of Trustees and CEOs
  • Business risk and superannuation funds

Part 2, Melbourne, VIC

Who should attend?

Chief Executives (or equivalent) of Institutional Investor entities with assets over A$1 billion.

Attendance:
Limited to approximately 20 Chief Executive Officers.

Registration fee:
A$2,950 plus GST
15 CPE Points both both Part 1 & 2

Registration does not include accommodation, although CIE can co-ordinate bookings at no extra charge.

The Chairs Forum will facilitate debate and discussion on key challenges and opportunities concerning board and leadership related issues including strategies, trends, practices and organisational imperatives. The forum provides a unique opportunity for Chairs to formulate and exchange views with their peers, to help them best manage and position their boards and funds. Some of the issues to be examined include:

  • The key lessons learned from weak global governance
  • Determining the optimal board and governance structure for timely decision-making
  • The need for optimising delegation in a fiduciary environment
  • Longevity risk: implications for governance

Part 2, Melbourne, VIC

The Forum will be for superannuation Chairs only and conducted largely as a structured breakout session in a roundtable format.

Who should attend?
Chairs and Chairs-elect of Institutional Investor entities with assets over A$1 billion.

Attendance:
Limited to approximately 20 Chairs.
